When I was at the gym yesterday I saw an IHOP commercial promoting National Pancake Day. I had no idea this was a "holiday" (and I love random holiday's...and free food) so I made a mental note of this fun celebration.
Last night while working at the theatre I brought up National Pancake Day, and one of my coworkers said he and his friends went to an IHOP for NPD last year and they had to wait FOUR HOURS for a table. WHOA! That is serious devotion to pancakes!
It's possible that I might head to the IHOP Tuesday morning at 7 a.m., but likely not, so I made my own pancakes today while watching Chris Mathews and MTP.

Pancakes schmancakes. Waffles are better with all of those pockets of deliciousness. But if we're going to have a National Pancake Day it should be a national holiday with a weekday off from work.
