Kristen E. Coyote

Growing up, did you ever watch the Wile E. Coyote cartoon!?  My brother and I would always tune in during Saturday morning cartoons to see what type of disaster Wile would get himself in while chasing the ever elusive Road Runner (beep beep!)  No matter if Wile fell off a mountain, was blown up by a stick of dynamite or had an anvil fall on him, he always dusted himself off and set out, once again, after that pesky road runner.

I often feel like that damn coyote.  No, anvils do not routinely fall out of the sky onto my head (has anyone ever seen an anvil in real life?) but I often get myself into the oddest situations.

Yesterday while I was doing inventory at the theatre, my left foot triggered a rat trap (RATS! AGAIN WITH THE RATS!) and CAUGHT MY BIG TOE IN IT!  YOWZA!  Not only did it hurt my toe, but it scared the BEJEEBUS out of me.  I was aware that the rat trap was there and I SWEAR my foot did not step on it...I think I must have nudged it accidentally.  I was reaching for something and SNAP! HOOOWWWWWLLLLL.  Poor left big toe. :(

Was the rat trap made by ACME?

Next time this happens to me (with my luck I cannot rule it out) I will be sure to have a sign ready!

ACME - aaahhh! Good one!
